| Executive Summary |

| Glimpses of an ever-advancing educational institution |
|
Child is said to be the greatest representative of God, and he is the Book of Creation because all the mysteries of being exist in him. If he comes under the shadow of the
True Educator and is rightly trained, he becomes the essence of essences, the light of lights, the spirit of spirits.
~ Baha’u’llah |
|
| Here...in the educational abode of LAHS, each child envisions a larger size of life. To contain everything in these limited pages will be a daunting task but we will try to give you a cursory view of the bits and bytes we are made up of. |

|
| Evolution |
Evolution is the nature of this transient world and an attribute of the human soul. Everything is expanding and so are we. Little Angels High School believes in the messianic words of Baha’u’llah – the Prophet Founder of the Bahai Faith from Whom it derives inspiration – that "All human beings have been created to carry forward an ever-advancing civilization."
The creation of a peaceful global society that fosters both individual and collective well-being is at the heart of the Bahá'í vision of the future and this is what guides our vision and process of growth.
In order to translate this vision into a coherent and viable strategy for the future, a “visionary couple” – Tina and Sunil Olyai – laid out the foundations of a modest structure which |
|
|
| |
has today become the most sought after educational institution of Gwalior, a city with its legendary fort, royal remnants and now a dynamic hub of reputed educational institutions of North India.
Mrs. & Mr. Olyai felt that the best contribution one can make towards the advancement of human civilization is to ‘truly educate’ the citizens of tomorrow. As they believe that “Every child is potentially the light of the world”. |
|
|
| Initiation |
Little Angels School was initiated in the year 1990 with a modest infrastructure and a handful of 15 students. However, there were 3 outstanding features which distinguished this school from all other institutions in the state. And these 3 elements that Mrs. & Mr. Olyai infused in their nascent institution were:
- Active involvement of parents, school and community – the three catalysts of change.
- Incorporation of a philosophy of holistic education (which can be explained in terms of good teachers, overall development of children, rich infrastructure and other elements).
- A notable emphasis on moral education of children .
These were sure to pay dividends! Today LAHS has a strength of nearly 3,000 students and a teaching fraternity of 130 well-trained & qualified teachers. |

|
| Academic Excellence |
Little Angels High School is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (10+2), New Delhi, and it also enjoys the proud privilege of being the FIRST ISO 9001:2000 Certified school of Madhya Pradesh. LAHS is also a member of IFCW, QCFI, ISFI & WFO.
Little Angels High School has been fully aware of its significant role in carving out the future of children. Affiliation with CBSE is not just a ‘status symbol’ for LAHS, nor does it serve as a ‘brand’ of authenticity...it’s rather a commitment to quality and ever-arching excellence. As a proverb goes,
|
“Success might be easy to obtain but it is too difficult to maintain it”.
|
|
Our school management, with the active help of our talented and dedicated staff, parents and students, continuously strive to uphold the heights at where we stand today. Till now scores of batches of our students have passed X & XII CBSE Board Exams with 100% success and a number of students have obtained cent per cent marks in individual subjects and topped the city on regular basis.
Academic excellence is something we earnestly focus on and consistently encourage. The School has an Achievers Club for students. Those securing excellent results become a member of Achievers Club, are awarded prizes and their excellence is celebrated.
.
Little Angels High School is privileged to be one of the few schools in the state of Madhya Pradesh to have introduced the Highly Technical EDUCOMP SMART CLASSES in their classrooms, This new pedagogical concept attempts to break the monotony of a clichéd teaching process, through visual learning that promises to make learning visually appealing, interesting and accessible with a 3-D content that is user friendly and allows greater retention and clarity. |

| Overall Development |
As it is aptly said: “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. However, our “Jacks” are busy all the year round not only in academic ‘work’ (like book-worms!) but they also ‘play’ their role in various other challenging and fun-filled Facilities. LAHS has been a ‘member of the old guard’ of some most active and vibrant scholastic Facilities of India and abroad designed to expose the children to wider horizons of knowledge and talent explosion.
LAHS students have participated in a number of national and international events such as MODEL WORLD PARLIAMENT, MACFAIR INTERNATIONAL, INTERNATIONAL QUALITY CIRCLE, NATIONAL SCIENCE OLYMPIAD, MATHS OLYMPIAD, ALL ASIA BOURNVITA QUIZ CONTEST, NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH CONTEST, GEOFEST INTERNATIONAL, NATIONAL DEBATES, CYBER OLYMPIAD, SCIENCE OLYMPIADS, MATHS OLYMPIADS, ROBOTICS, TECHNATHALON, CELESTA, REFLECTIONS, CBSE SPORTS CLUSTER MEETS, etc.
The students are also regularly exposed to many inter-school, inter-house, intra-class and inter-class Facilities where they get to displayed their talent in a wide arena. | Empowering Teachers |
 |
| |
Teachers are the very foundation on which the entire edifice of a great school rests. They are like divine gardeners who trim the unwanted shoots and foster the growth of the tender plants named children. Regular motivation and training of teachers is an ongoing phenomenon at LAHS.
These include sending the teachers to attend important seminars and symposiums all over India and abroad and arranging for them special in-house training in language skills, computer, problem solving, spiritual empowerment by experts in the specific fields from time to time.
An internal motivational bulletin – The Mentor – is published every month to keep teachers focused on their role and bring out their hidden potentials. LAHS teachers are widely travelled professionals who have visited NASA Space Station and have seen the spectrum of life in Turkey, Malaysia, Mauritius, Nepal, USA, UK and visited many other countries. |
| |
| In the end, we strongly believe that Quality and Excellence are not a fixed destination in our life…but an eternal journey which never ends…Our journey continues….!!!! |
